Search Method

Step 1 – Project Consultation

  • Search Management International consults with you, the client, to gain an in-depth understanding of your organizations history, structure, business model and culture.
  • We build a position specification for each job outlining functional, technical and managerial responsibilities.
  • We develop qualification criteria including years of experience, industry experience, track record, personal characteristics and education.

Step 2 – Strategy Development

  • Search Management International develops a list of industries and companies from which to recruit. We categorize by similarity, compatibility, company size (revenue, number of employees, national, etc.) and geography.
  • We build a “pitch” to present to potential candidates highlighting the positive attributes of your organization and the position.
  • We develop a road map for project execution outlining communication, timing and progress reporting.

Step 3 – Candidate Identification

  • Search Management International identifies potential candidates by:
    • Cold calling directly into the target companies
    • Utilizing applicable professional associations and organizations
    • Utilizing database information to obtain lists (certifications, degrees, licenses)
    • Using advanced Internet search techniques
    • Posting jobs on niche web sites

Step 4 – Candidate Recruitment

  • Search Management International promotes your opportunity to potential candidates. Once a candidate indicates interest, we conduct an in depth interview to address the needs of your position.
  • An example of what we may find out includes current responsibilities – functional, technical, and managerial; career history, management style, personal characteristics, education, and salary history.

Step 5 – Candidate Submittal and Scheduling

  • Upon completion of the interview process, Search Management International narrows the list of potential candidates down to only those that meet the requirements for the position. We provide a customized profile along with an updated resume for your review.
  • Upon determining which candidates you would like to interview, we will assist in coordinating interviews in an efficient and timely manner.

Step 6 – Project Completion and Assessment

  • When a final candidate has been selected, Search Management International will assist with the offer and candidate on-boarding to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
  • After the successful completion of the project, Search Management International presents a summary of the project (s) outlining our activities and results.
  • We provide a report specifying all candidates contacted and those who do not meet the specifications, which can be used in future recruiting.
