M. Shane Fleeman
Managing Partner
Shane’s extensive recruiting experience includes over 15 years of partnering with Fortune level to start-up companies in a wide range of business areas including human resources, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, and operations management.
Shane founded Search Management International in May of 2003 with the goal to provide a unique and comprehensive recruiting model that companies could utilize to supplement their current recruiting methods or as a single source solution. Prior to starting SMI, Shane gained considerable experience and expertise in executive search serving as a Director in an executive search firm for 4 years and a Manager for an international recruiting firm for 5 years. Shane started his career in the staffing industry where he served as a Branch Manager for over 5 years.
Shane holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Georgia College and State University. He is actively involved as a volunteer with his church, the local youth athletics’ program, and has served on the board of directors for the local chapter of the United Way Foundation. He is an Atlanta native and currently resides in Cumming, Georgia with his wife and daughter.
John Rogers
Managing Partner
John joined Search Management International in the Spring of 2005 as a Partner.
Prior to joining SMI, John was a founding Partner in another executive search firm for 9 years. He spearheaded the growth of that company from two people to a thriving organization of over 20 employees. John started his career with a Big 4 public accounting firm in the human resources & recruiting group.
During his 15-plus year career in the recruiting industry, John has worked with a wide range of organizations from Fortune 500 to small start-ups. John has the unique ability to partner with his clients, getting a true understanding of their needs and then matching those needs with high-quality candidates. This client focused approach is unique to the industry, resulting in a number of long-term client relationships which has lead to numerous repeat engagements.
John earned his BBA from the University of Georgia. He is an Atlanta native, currently residing in Cumming with his wife, Kim and their 2 sons. He is actively involved as a volunteer with the local youth athletics programs and while also participating with the local chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Chuck Milton
President of SMI Executive Search
Chuck is President of SMI Executive Search. Prior to joining SMI, Chuck worked as a vice president for an Atlanta-based, Top 10 retained search firm. During his tenure, he managed and developed repeat business from three of the four highest revenue-generating accounts in the firm's history.
Chuck has successfully developed a strategy to develop a client base consisting of venture capital firms, closely held businesses, Inc. 500 and Fortune companies. His focus on a thorough search process and developing long-term relationships has resulted in repeat engagements (20+) with several of his clients.
Chuck began his career in the human resources discipline 20 years ago, and entered the search industry in 1994. While working within Corporate America, he worked for Fortune 100 companies. He has volunteered his time and talents to the community. He has lectured and taught classes on job search skills and also served as president of his homeowners association. He currently teaches Sunday school at his church in Alpharetta, GA. A graduate of the Florida State University, he resides in Roswell, GA.
